It was a great weekend for Xavier Club Hockey as the Musketeers swept Ohio State in two exciting games, celebrating All for One Weekend with plenty of family, friends, and supporters in attendance.
Friday Night Overtime Thriller
The weekend opened with a tightly contested matchup Friday night, as Xavier battled Ohio State to a 3-3 tie through regulation. Hanisko delivered in a big way, scoring three goals, including the overtime winner, to give the Musketeers a thrilling 4-3 victory. Pereira added a goal, with assists from Bloechle, Barrett, Richardson, and Brady.
Saturday Night Offensive Explosion
The Musketeers carried that momentum into Saturday, putting together an impressive offensive performance in an 8-3 victory to complete the weekend sweep.
Hanisko continued his outstanding weekend with two more goals, bringing his total to five across the two games! Pereira also had a big night with two goals, while Stebbins, Barrett, Weavil, and Richardson each found the back of the net.
The offense was a complete team effort, with assists from Dobson, Garner (3), Pereira, Esler (2), Richardson, Hanisko, Bloechle, Barrett (2), and Brady.
More Than Hockey — All for One Weekend
Beyond the action on the ice, the weekend was made even more special by the many parents, families, and friends who traveled to Cincinnati to support the team.
The program hosted a family meal at the Cintas Center, bringing everyone together for a great opportunity to connect and celebrate the Xavier Hockey community. The weekend also featured a successful raffle to support the program.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped organize the meal, coordinate the raffle, contribute prizes, and make the weekend possible. Events like these are a reminder that Xavier Hockey is about much more than what happens on the ice.
A Weekend to Remember
Two wins over Ohio State, five goals from Hanisko, a great turnout of family and friends, and a successful weekend of fundraising made this an All for One Weekend to remember.
The Musketeers will look to build on their momentum as the 2026–27 season continues.
Go Musketeers!
